100%. Living on two different planets. What makes these places great is the culmination of all different walks of life. Can’t have a place for everyone if you price out 75% of the people who would normally go there. Sad.

Couldn’t agree more. Overpriced food in a faux Victorian Market style with barely anywhere to sit and lengthy queues. Who’s got time to wait 20 minutes for an overpriced gozleme (an item whose place in the panoply of Asian food I’d previously overlooked) before hauling it back through the rain to their office desk to eat?

OK, I did it once but there’s no way I or any of my colleagues are doing it again. Ever.

Destined to fail, or (like Spice Alley before it) cement its place as an overpriced Disneyland replica of the thing it thinks it really is.

Honestly that first set of experiences finding it almost impossible to find a friend in the market and then just spending ages looking at random out of the world bullshit was the best teenage experience on a rainy day
